Job Title: Commissioning/Service and Maintenance Engineer Location: South/London Date of Posting: May 2018 Due to continued growth we are in search of a Commissioning/Service Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting role, working with a wide variety of customers in some famous and historic venues. Key Responsibilities Commissioning of Voice Alarm and Public Address Systems Service and Maintenance System Programming Fault finding and rectification Qualifications and Experience Candidates should have a foundation qualification in electronics/electrical engineering Programming and software skills Strong communication skills Full UK driving licence Industry experience Job Title: Trainee/Apprentice Design Engineer Location: Head Office - Steeple Bumpstead, Suffolk Date of Posting: May 2018 Key Responsibilities Liaising with customers/engineers to ascertain the project design requirements Interpretation of client’s specification and drawings Development of the design to meet standards/specification and subsequent equipment selection Acoustic design Production of detailed cost calculation documents Production of quotations, supporting documents and drawings (CAD) Understanding and discussing commercial contracts Designing to the legislative standards Sales Support Maintaining database Discussing submitted quotations with customers Supporting sales team with negotiations Visiting site to carry out design surveys Technical Support Production of operation and maintenance manuals Compilation of design material following order placement and formal handover to project team Skills Required Good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team Good organisational skills Problem solving and attention to detail are extremely important in this role Working toward a full driving licence would be desirable Qualifications Required GCSE/A Levels (A-C) English, Maths and Physics (or equivalent) Excellent ICT skills. Apprentice Commissioning/Service and Maintenance Engineer Date of Posting May 2018 Engineer Coverage: London/East Anglia Key Responsibilities/Training Service and maintenance of installed sound equipment Equipment and installation fault diagnostics and repair System installation System programming Acoustic measurement and analysis Skills Required Full UK driving licence (requirement to drive to sites - use of company vehicle) Excellent software/computer skills (written and verbal) Problem solving and attention to detail are extremely important in this role Interest in audio, sound engineering Personal qualities Confident communicator, both face to face an on the telephone Work accurately under pressure Ability to follow instruction Responsible attitude Enthusiastic Qualifications Candidates currently studying for or have a foundation qualifications in electronics/electrical engineering would be desirable (For example BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma Electronic/Electrical Engineering). Apprenticeship in coordination with West Suffolk College.
